Apartment & Condo Movers

PROFESSIONAL & AFFORDABLE

APARTMENT & CONDO MOVERS

For those who are moving out of or in to an apartment or condo, there are some extra steps which need to be considered.

Our movers are excited to help guide you through these steps as we want to make this as easy as possible for you!

For some additional guidance, below are the Three Steps to Moving Success

STEP ONE

Fill out your free-quote!

When you fill out a moving quote, please highlight certain details such as how we will be navigating to and from the truck.

  1. If there are stairs we will need to take, please let us know, roughly, how many sets there are!
  2. Let us know if there will be an accessible elevator! If you are unsure or uncomfortable with finding out, our team is happy and prepared to communicate and coordinate directly with your landlord!
  3. Let us know in the forum or over the phone if there are any other obstacles or concerns and we will work together to find a solution and answer any questions!
  4. Let us know if there are bulky items or anything that you believe would be difficult and we will find a solution! We are equipped for everything!
  5. Let us know the date of which you would like to move! This is essential for Step Two!

STEP two

Coordinating with your building

Once our team has received your quote, we will let you know what time we will be moving you into or out of your apartment or condo!

  • All we need to do is get in contact with your building or landlord so that we can get clearance to move!

Service Elevator

If there is an elevator designated for move in & move out, we need to book ourselves in!

  • If you aren't comfortable with doing this yourself, please let our team know and we will be more than happy to take over entirely!

Building & Landlord Policies

If your apartment or condo has no service elevator, we need to find out if your building or landlord has a preference on when you move out.

Sometimes building management and landlords prefer people moving in and out at certain hours. We don't want to inconvenience anyone, so we do everything in our power to ensure that everyone is happy.

If you think the apartment or condo that you're moving out of or into may have moving preferences, let us know!

STEP Three

Tie Up Loose Ends!

Once we have Step One and Step Two figured out, it's time to take care of the smaller details to ensure that we can complete this move in a timely fashion for you! Our company mission is to provide affordable and reliable moving, so our team wants to make sure that everything is in order for your move to go smoothly!

How to prepare for your moving date:

  1. Give your landlord proper notice - Most rental properties need written notice of lease termination. Find out what your buildings or landlords rules are and make sure you're both on the same page!
  2. Get rid of items or furniture that you don't need or want anymore! Sometimes it's hard to let go of things, but other times it's necessary for your transition! Find a place to donate unwanted goods or try selling them to make some quick cash! Marketplace and Kijiji are great for that! - Things that can't or shouldn't be given away should be disposed of properly. Call your city for curb-side pickup or ask The Broke Dudez about our Dump Runs Service!
  3. Pay your bills! There's no worse feeling than owing someone money! Before you move, make sure your rent & any other apartment or condo related bills are taken care of. This will save you from a ton of stress!
  4. Make sure you have the space - Sometimes people move into rentals which have less space than their previous rental. There's nothing wrong with that, however, you need to make sure you have adequate storage lined up. Inquire with your building if they have included storage units, or visit our partners page and learn about saving on storage with Two Broke Dudez!
  5. Pack, Pack, Pack! Did you know that the best way to save money on moving day is to have everything packed and ready to go? In fact - it can save you so much money that we made an entire page about it! Click here to learn more.

When it comes to apartment and condo moving, having your odds and ends packed safely in stackable, closed bins or sealed, high-quality boxes make it easy for our movers to quickly stack and dolly them to and from the truck. Every minute counts when you hire movers, we want you to save your money! Have everything packed and ready to move!
