The trick to determining which size of a moving truck you need all starts with evaluating how much stuff you are moving. There are four factors you need to figure out which will give you the answer you're looking for!
FACTOR ONE
How many bedrooms? The first factor to consider before selecting a truck size is how many bedrooms there are in the home you're moving. We consider one bedroom a "Bedroom Set" and automatically assume your bedroom set will include a mattress, boxspring, bedframe/headboard, two night stands, and a dresser. This is key information on how much space a single bedroom will take up in a truck.
FACTOR TWO
How many bins\boxes? The second factor is knowing how many bins and boxes you will end up with once you're all packed up and ready to go. FACTOR THREE
How many pieces of furniture? The third factor is counting how many pieces of furniture you have that you will be moving; aside from what is considered bedroom sets (FACTOR ONE).
These pieces of furniture include couches, appliances, desks, dressers, and other large household items. Pay attention to the average household items - if you are above average, you may want to consider going up in truck size to accommodate.

How many Non-Boxables? The fourth factor is to take note of other items which can not be boxed (TV's, paintings/pictures, and other medium sized items.
